No longer missing from our collection! To compliment our German Brand and German Design Award, mamalila has just been awarded the 2018 German Innovation Award (GIA). In the “Excellence in Business to Consumer” category, the mamalila quilted babywearing jacket has won the coveted gold trophy in the “Kids & Toys” arena.
With the newly launched Innovation Award, the German Design Council would like to close a gap in the award landscape: product innovations with a sustainable effect and real added value, which also translate into corresponding customer benefits. For this Vicki Marx, the CEO of mamalila, was especially proud when she was called to the stage at the award ceremony in the Berlin Museum of Technology on June 6th as one of the 34 gold winners with her husband Christian Derfuß.
The jury’s statement reads: “From the beginning the mamalila brand has stood for meaningful innovations that speak to the target group from the heart. This also applies to the quilted babywearing jacket which transfers the proven concept to a new dimension, thus setting a new benchmark. The fact that this product also offers maximum wearing comfort for mother and child, on top of exemplary sustainability and ecology, underlines the claim of uncompromising quality.”
